Representing the colony of South Carolina
2d South Carolina Regiment is a unit that has been in active
since the beginning of the Bicentennial. The unit is comprised of individuals and
families from across the nation (primarily South Carolina). Our primary
portrayal is that of a line regiment, but are quite at ease performing light
infantry maneuvers as well as manning one of our two field pieces. Our uniform is
a blue regimental coat with red facings and cuffs and a distinctive leather cap
with the Liberty crescent on the front. For more information or to contact us go
to our website. www.2ndsc.org
Representing the colony North Carolina
2d North Carolina Regiment is a statewide (North Carolina) unit

performing light infantry maneuvers. Our uniform is a blue regimental coat with
blue facings and white tape around the buttonholes. For more information or to
contact us go to our website. www.2nc.org
Kingsbury's Independent Artillery / Locke's Militia is a unit based in
Norwood, NC. While first & foremost, we represent Col. Locke's Militia Company;
Kingsbury's Artillery is our alternate persona. When serving as militia, we do
both infantry & artillery. Whether serving as militia or Continental artillery we
are capable, when personnel are available, of fielding 2 three pounders, a light
howitzer and a CoeHorn mortar. Militia "uniforms" are civilian attire, Kingsbury's
uniforms are basically off-white small clothes & fringed hunting frocks, as they
were issued. A few have chosen to purchase Continental Army artillery uniform
coats (blue coats with red facings and yellow trim) for use when we portray generic
Continental Artillery. For more information or to contact us go to our website.
